Here I go again on my own! 8/31/2022
After three gratifying years as a full time court interpreter at the Superior Court of Santa Barbara I’ll be striking out on my own full time again starting in September of 2022. I have always known that this is what I wanted to do, deep down in my gut, but it took me a long time to gather the courage to take the plunge. I mean. The advantages to full time employment are endless. The benefits! The stability! Inflation! Impending recession! These were all of the fears bouncing around in my head as I anticipated giving my notice. But as soon as I made the final decision, I felt a sense of peace and calm knowing that this is the right decision for me and my family right now. I’m still nervous, but I already feel more fulfilled, thinking and planning and dreaming of my business endeavor. I’m so fortunate to have the support of my family and I’m looking forward to showing them what I can do.
